Four of Science Park of the Philippines Inc.’s industrial estates were awarded Best Environmental Practices of Private Sectors by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Environmental Management Bureau-CALABARZON Region in recognition of their commitment to preserving and enhancing the environment during its first Virtual Environmental Summit held on June 30, 2021. The four industrial estates are Light Industry & Science Park (LISP) I in Cabuyao, Laguna; LISP II in Calamba, Laguna; LISP III in Sto. Tomas, Batangas; and LISP IV in Malvar, Batangas.
As part of the month-long celebration, the virtual summit with the theme “Sama-Samang Pagkilos; Ikaw, Ako, Tayo ang Kalikasan” brought together the regional community to celebrate and recognize excellence in environmental protection. LISP I, II, III and IV are ably managed by SPPI or its wholly owned subsidiary Vector Property Managers, Inc. and were cited for active implementation of programs and projects that are in harmony with nature and in strict compliance with all government policies, rules and regulations.
Working hand in hand, SPPI and its park operations and management arm, Vector Property Managers, Inc., in conjunction with the respective Locators’Associations of each park, have always been committed to green and sustainable developments driven by industry-leading innovations from site selection, to master planning, construction, and operations. Being forward thinkers by nature, SPPI rises to the challenge of the present times by enforcing comprehensive company protocols and preventive measures that ensure preservation of natural resources, public safety, and the parks’ responsiveness to the new normal.
The event was graced by EMB Regional Director Noemi A. Paranada, Solid Waste Management OIC Corazon Gasapos, and special guest film actor, TV personality and environment advocate John Lloyd Cruz who delivered an inspirational message emphasizing our responsibility in making the environment habitable, greener, and healthier for future generations.
