In partnership with the Canadian Embassy under the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), ICCP Group Foundation Inc. (IGFI) relaunched a school-based Innovative Organic Vegetable Gardening project in seven host-barangays of LISP IV in Malvar, Batangas. The Canadian Embassy provided support of almost PhP900,000 to effectively implement the project.

In pursuit of improving the health and nutrition of school children, this livelihood opportunity hosted by the ICCP Group, kicked off last November 20-28, 2017 after the completion of greenhouse facilities in the first three (3) partner-elementary schools in Brgys. San Fernando, Poblacion and San Pedro II namely San Fernando Elementary School, Malvar Central School & San Pedro II Elementary School.

Training workshops on organic vegetable gardening were also conducted for the students, parents, teachers and barangay workers. The workshops focused on teaching the participants how to grow vegetables using recycled PET bottles as planting pot, as well as how to produce organic fertilizer and pesticides
