Mr. Richard Albert I. Osmond, EVP and General Manager of Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. has been elected President of Laguna Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) effective May 1, 2016 for a term of two years. Mr. Osmond has been active in the Calabarzon area for many years, having served from 2004 to 2007 as Regional Development Council Chairman of CALABARZON, Office of the President, as well as being an executive of Science Park since 1999.
Science Park has four (4) industrial estates in Calabarzon in addition to one in Mactan, Cebu and another one in Hermosa, Bataan. Previously, he was Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations at the Department of Trade & Industry prior to joining SPPI. Mr. Osmond and the Board of LCCI expect to continue the group’s programs in the fields of labor, power, environment, risk reduction & management, membership growth and corporate social responsibility.
SPPI was established in 1989, and through the years, has gained the reputation of being a cutting edge developer of industrial estates through its Light Industry & Science Park projects.
Today, SPPI is highly regarded as one of the pioneers and leaders in private industrial estate development in the country and has the largest hectarage of industrial estates developed, and being developed with almost 800 hectares of aggregate area.
